Devotional

Dear CCAK Family,

I trust we all had wonderful New Year’s Celebrations with our friends and family.

At the close of last year, I encouraged everyone to begin to prepare for this New Year. Close the books on the old year. Clean up and clean out your spiritual life. Get ready for 2012.

If you listened to David Demian’s message, he emphasized that God is shifting His focus. We are moving out of a season of grace into a season of His Lordship and Kingship.

What the King wants, the King will get. The question is will we be immediately obedient to the things the Lord is asking?

I have a great story I want to share with you on Sunday (i might even borrow Kenny’s guitar to sing you a song).

But I am reminded that The Lord is calling us to a higher level of walking with Him. And I for one want to whole heartedly follow Him.

Ask the Lord, if He wants you to travel this year. There will be a gathering in Hong Kong July 31- August 4th. Perhaps the Lord wants some of us there. There will be other missions trips and conferences the Lord is calling us to. Begin to pray about those things and decide in advance that you will follow the Lord, no matter what the cost or convenience is.

Next Wednesday, Jan. 11th, we will have James and Karen Coble, missionaries to Japan come to the conference room to share with us what they have been doing in the Tsunami devastated area. I hope you are able to make it. You will be blessed by their faith and the testimonies of God in the Land of the Rising Son.

Blessings!
